“It’s so fun to watch her determination…”
In 2020, the Romero family adopted their daughter Livia from an orphanage in Ukraine. She has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome and waited for a family for many years.
RW provided a financial grant to help her family with their adoption costs. Her mother provided the following update:
“Livia has been home for 16 months now and she is doing incredibly well. She has integrated into our busy family and loves having 3 big brothers. Livia is now going to school for a couple of hours each day for Early Childhood Education. Since coming home from Ukraine, Livia has made so much progress developmentally, and it is so fun to watch her determination and eagerness to meet her goals. We are still very grateful for the generous grant that helped us to bring her home.”

RW’s ability to offer adoption grants for waiting children is solely because of the hard work each of you does every day!
We are working for the day every child has a home.
4 Areas of Focus
- Facilities that support abandoned children.
- Educational programs for orphaned children.
- Adoption grants.
- Family preservation / orphan prevention.
Work Connection
RW has provided adoption grants for over 100 waiting children. Children with medical and developmental diagnoses, like Down syndrome, are considered some of the most difficult to place in families.
