Reak’s New Home

Five new children placed at Asia’s Hope

Asia’s Hope has grown by five children. These children have been placed in the Prek Eng 2 home, which Real Wood Floors sponsors.

Reak, above, is 11 years old and in the 2nd grade. When his father died working on a construction site, Reak’s mother determined she was no longer able to care for him alone. He was sent to live with his elderly grandmother, who was unable to meet his basic needs due to her own poverty. Reak often did not have enough to eat and was unable to attend school.

The Cambodian government told his grandmother about Asia’s Hope and Reak’s grandmother determined this would be the best option for Reak. He is adjusting to Asia’s Hope well and is very excited to be able to attend school.

Real Wood Floors’ ability to sponsor Asia’s Hope (and kids like Reak), is solely because of the hard work each of you does every day!

We are working for the day every child has a home.
