Hope for the Journey Conference…

RW Supply + Design’s mission is that we exist UNTIL EVERY CHILD IS HOME. Shane Cobban (West Plains office) and his wife Michelle adopted their son, Zachary, from China at the end of 2017. As a result of the life change their family has experienced following adopting Zachary, they have become advocates for adoption and caring for kids from hard places. One of the ways that Michelle Cobban is doing this is by hosting (with the help of Justin Aiken’s wife, Audrey) a conference called Hope for the Journey put on by Show Hope (https://showhope.org). This simulcast, running today and tomorrow, focuses on providing educational resources for anyone who has a close relationship with a child from a hard background. Michelle believes this conference will meet a need by helping parents, grandparents, and educators learn how to best care for children who have been adopted or are in foster care. She says that, while adoption has been a blessing, it can be a challenge to know how to best love children who have experienced trauma. For the Cobbans, they say that adoption has taught them what it really means to love unconditionally and has made them more compassionate and understanding as a family. According to Michelle, Zachary has shown all of them the importance of EVERY child having a HOME. The ability to provide funding to employees pursuing adoption, and to work until the day that every child is home, is solely because of the work that you do each day.

We are working for the day every child has a home.

4 Areas of Focus

  • Family preservation / orphan prevention.
  • Facilities that support abandoned children.
  • Educational programs for orphaned children.
  • Adoption grants.

Work Connection

RW Supply + Design is working towards the day that every child is home. Our current goal is to be involved in the lives of 100,000 individuals. While we believe that every child should have the chance to grow up with their biological family, we also realize that some children will not have that opportunity for multiple reasons. Adoption grants are one way that we seek to make certain that each child experiences HOME. To date we have been involved in over 100 adoption grants.
