RW Supply + Design’s mission is that we exist UNTIL EVERY CHILD IS HOME. A few months ago, a family living in Central Asia, who we previously supported through the Masterscraft, reached out regarding a baby that they are adopting. This baby’s biological mother is a teen. She and her family decided not to keep her child. This is in part because, in Central Asia, it is considered shameful to be a single parent. As a result this mother was seeking someone to parent her newborn and asked these family friends. She did not want her child to grow up in an orphanage. This child did not have many other options. The country they live in does not allow for international adoption and domestic adoptions are very uncommon.

The total adoption costs are $2000 and they are unable to pay for the adoption. Since we help with adoption grants, they reached out for any amount of help to reduce this strain. We were able to give them a grant to cover all costs. They hope to raise this child in their family while also maintaining contact with her 16 year old mother who lives near them. We are so excited to be able to see this child grow up with her adoptive family, while maintaining contact with her biological family. This will also keep this baby out of an overcrowded and underfunded orphanage. The ability to FULLY FUND this adoption and work until the day that every child is home, is solely because of the work that you do each day.
