RW Supply + Design’s mission is that we exist UNTIL EVERY CHILD IS HOME . It is not uncommon for parents to move between Cambodia and Thailand in search of work. And, sadly, it is also not unheard of, for a parent to not return home regularly…or ever. Sometimes parents will remarry; and children (from first marriages) will be sent to live with grandparents or other relatives. Poverty and lack of support are frequent causes of child abandonment in Southeast Asia. Our hope is always for children to grow up with biological parents, but we recognize that some children can’t. In these situations, family style care is the next best option…providing attachment and safety for children…and the commitment of lifelong care.

The house parents at Asia’s Hope are some of the most loving and caring parents I have met. This is, in part, because they understand the struggles of the kids in their care….instinctively meeting these needs. Last month this five year old boy, FH joined the Asia’s Hope family that we sponsor..becoming a son to the AH parents. And, while we are sad to learn about his past (full of loss and transition) , we are hopeful about his future.The ability to work until every child is home is solely because of the work that you do each day!
