RW Supply + Design’s mission is that we exist UNTIL EVERY CHILD IS HOME. Each day thousands of older children ‘age out’ of foster care or orphanages. To ‘age out’ means kids are considered an adult and no longer cared for by the government or the non profit where they lived. We know that transitioning from childhood to adulthood is hard in the best of situations. Sadly, for most children, living away from biological parents, this transition is fraught with difficulty.

The statistics speak for themselves….

10-15% of aging out orphaned children will commit suicide by 18 years of age

40-60% of aging out girls will spend time in the worldwide sex ‘trade’

20% of youth aging out of the US foster care system will become homeless immediately (even more worldwide)

70% of orphaned boys in Eastern Europe will engage in criminal activity as adults

Within 72 hours of aging out of an orphanage or foster care system, most young adults have been approached for sex

Etc, etc, etc….

Older children are often the last to be fostered, last to be adopted, and the last to be sponsored. However, the organizations we partner with, are finding ways to help kids move into adulthood successfully. We believe this is essential! The ability to support organizations that help kids for their WHOLE LIFE is because of the work that you do each day!
